In a dramatic demonstration of global solidarity In a powerful display of international solidarity, Ukrainians’ Western allies have agreed to provide the country an extra EUR21 billion worth of military aid to help Ukraine’s security of its territory against Russian aggression. This announcement came at the high-level defense summit in Brussels at a time when NATO allies and members have reiterated their commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The new aid package represents one of the most extensive overall military support efforts since war started, and includes modern weaponry and air defense systems as well as ammunition, as well as logistical support.
“This is more than a financial commitment–it is a message,” said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. “We will be with Ukraine for the duration of time it takes. The freedom of Ukraine must be defended.”
