Topshop has once again partnered with supermodel Cara Delevingne, this time for its first-ever co-designed capsule collection with the global style icon.

The 16-piece capsule draws on Delevingne’s enduring connection with Topshop – she fronted her first solo campaign for the retailer in 2014 – and captures the aesthetic that they both share: “confident, individual, and distinctly modern, with pieces designed to be worn on repeat”.

Delevingne’s relationship with Topshop has long gone beyond modelling. Last year, she lent her styling expertise to a 30-piece edit with the retailer, landing after Topshop officially relaunched as a standalone online destination.

This latest capsule sees her move into co-design, with the range spanning denim pieces including jeans, skirts, dresses and jackets, as well as tailoring and co-ords.

One of the collection’s hero products is a denim pinstripe suit, cut with a broad-shouldered blazer and wide-leg trouser for tailoring, which is described as “composed and effortless”.

Another bold hero piece is a turquoise denim co-ord, pairing a funnel-neck jacket with a matching jean for a bold head-to-toe statement. Meanwhile, ribbed vests, open-back tops and long-sleeved tees are designed to be mixed and layered with the denim, completing the capsule to provide wardrobe foundations.

Delevingne commented on the collaboration: “Topshop has been part of my style story for as long as I can remember, so co-designing this collection felt really personal. I’ve always loved the way the brand captures London style that feels distinctive yet effortless. These pieces are a celebration of that feeling in a way that feels true to me.”

Michelle Wilson, Managing Director of Topshop, added: “Cara has always been synonymous with the confidence and creativity at the heart of Topshop. As a global style icon with deep London roots, she brings a distinctive point of view that resonates with our community around the world.

“We’re thrilled to invite Cara to bring her creativity and sense of style to a collection that celebrates our denim DNA, creating a collection that feels both timeless and unmistakably hers.”

The accompanying campaign, captured on the streets of London by photographer Magnus Lecher, is fronted by model Miah Linardi. Creative direction is by Mairead Gleeson, with film direction by Camille Amott and styling by Holly Gorst.
