The John Lewis 44-piece collaboration with British womenswear brand RIXO launched today, built around a floral print taken from an 1849 block-printed textile in the John Lewis Partnership Archive.

John Lewis described it as its biggest fashion collaboration to date, with the range including dresses and knitwear, alongside blouses, skirts, jackets, scarves, shoes and bags.

It also marks the first John Lewis fashion collaboration to use an archive print, a floral motif that was discovered during the design process and now features on pieces across the collection, with prices starting at £65.

The collection also features vintage florals in autumn colours, alongside velvet, sequins, cashmere and lamé. Pieces are finished with fur and lace trims, ruffles, metallic embroidery and embellishment, while accessories include beaded bags, scarves and metallic footwear.

John Lewis’ collaboration follows a 32-piece menswear collection with Clothsurgeon, which launched on 8 October, as well as the second instalment of Amanda Wakeley’s line for the retailer, which arrived in August with 16 pieces and expanded this month with a velvet tux and a fringe-hem maxi dress.

RIXO co-founder and Creative Director Orlagh McCloskey commented: “This collaboration feels like a true extension of RIXO – taking the heritage of John Lewis, leaning into its incredible archive, and bringing it to life with that RIXO magic.

“For me, if you’re going to do a collaboration, you have to do it properly. It should feel as strong, if not stronger, than anything you’ve created before – every piece considered, every detail cared for, and something you feel genuinely proud to put your name to.

“We wanted the collection to do the talking. We can’t wait to see women across the UK, whether they’re longtime RIXO lovers or discovering us for the first time through John Lewis, style it in their own way and make it theirs.

“We feel incredibly proud to have created something that reaches a wider audience than our London stores.”

RIXO has not previously worked with a retailer on a partnership of this size. When the collaboration was announced in July, the brand operated seven standalone stores, with its newest store in Bicester Village having opened in November 2025.

The launch comes a month after RIXO released a capsule with stylist Bay Garnett, co-founder of Second Hand September. That capsule is sold through the brand’s own website and UK stores.

The range will be stocked in 30 of John Lewis’s 36 shops, covering all of its full-line fashion stores.

Rachel Morgans, Fashion Director at John Lewis, said: “RIXO has such a strong community so we feel honoured to be a part of it and we’re proud to be supporting a British, female-founded brand.

“Being able to use the John Lewis Partnership Archive for the collection feels extra special, using our extensive heritage to create something that feels contemporary and unique for our customers.”
