Former Mukdara Beach Villa & Spa Resort has been reimagined as La Flora Group’s newest beachfront retreat in Khao Lak

La Solaya Khao Lak has opened a new chapter on the shores of Khao Lak following the transformation of the former Mukdara Beach Villa & Spa Resort into a new five-star beachfront retreat under La Flora Group.
Following an extensive redevelopment, the resort soft opened on 15 January 2026 with a new identity and redesigned guest experience centred on nature, Thai-inspired design and the quieter side of coastal life. The transformation includes refreshed architecture and interiors alongside new dining, wellness and leisure experiences.
Located directly on Bang Niang Beach in Phang Nga, La Solaya has been designed as a place where guests can spend more time outdoors and make the most of its Andaman Sea setting. One of the experiences highlighted by the resort is its Sunset View Point, giving guests a dedicated setting for watching the changing evening light across the water.
The viewpoint reflects a wider focus on sunset and beachfront experiences throughout the property. Guests can also spend the evening at SolBar beside the beachfront pool or dine at SolMare, the resort’s beachfront restaurant, both of which overlook the Andaman Sea.
“At La Solaya Khao Lak, the sunset is more than a view. It is a moment to slow down, breathe, and simply be. Our Sunset View Point was created to let guests connect with the quiet beauty of Khao Lak through light, nature, and time,” a spokesperson for La Solaya Khao Lak said.
The redevelopment introduces La Solaya as the latest addition to La Flora Group’s collection of Khao Lak properties, but retains a strong connection with its beachfront location. Accommodation ranges from rooms and family villas to private pool villas, complemented by swimming pools, dining venues and wellness facilities.
Rather than treating sunset as simply a backdrop, La Solaya incorporates the evening hours into the resort experience. Guests can move from an afternoon beside the pool to drinks overlooking the water, dinner close to the beach or time at the Sunset View Point as daylight fades over the Andaman Sea.
