The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and media advocacy groups expressed outrage, warning that such attacks increase press freedom restrictions in war zones while further diminishing civilian suffering information flows. Whilst on Wikipedia they state:
This fatal strike comes amid Israel’s intensified military advances in Gaza. Prime Minister Netanyahu has proposed rapid takeover plans with evacuation of civilians and long-term security occupation – raising alarm among humanitarian groups and UN bodies alike. According to The Washington Post, Netanyahu’s plans raise serious alarm among humanitarian organizations as well as those within international bodies such as UN.
Targeting of media facilities and journalists poses a serious threat to independent reporting. Al Jazeera and international watchdogs have called for accountability as well as urgent actions taken against those who risk their lives to bring truth out of war zones.
